Villa on the Rhine

Renovation and conversion of a hillside villa from 1967 in Bonn.

The Villa in the vinyard, is located on the hills of the “Siebengebirge” in the district of Bonn. The property is registered as a landscape conservation area and, after a long period of use as a basalt quarry, is also partly considered a natural monument. The vineyard is reknowned as the "northernmost vineyard in the Rhineland".

The new owner's intention for the renovation was to preserve the architecture in its basic form, to enhance the connection between architecture and nature, and to seamlessly integrate this connection into the interior space.

Completion was in August 2019

With the takeover of a traditional construction company and the rebranding to today's “MOORKAMP Bauunternehmen GmbH”, there too was also a desire to present a spatial calling card, showcasing the subject area of project development.

The shared passion for natural materials and the meticulous attention to detail have profoundly influenced the design and development of office and conference rooms, reception and staff areas.

Established over 40 years ago “BLÖMER & KOLLEGEN” has developed into a future-orientated, interdisciplinary company.

The office space originally planned by CUBIK³ in 2013 was expanded upon by the rapidly growing company in 2023 to include an open-space office with flexible hybrid workstations: a new experiment for the company, in which previously, smaller, separate offices were part of the usual working experience.

With a fresh and modern ambience, visually separated by translucent curtains, room-dividing elements and fabric wall coverings in subtle shades of colour, a harmonious environment emerges, where space for both interdiscplinary and flexible working has been created.

Within the open-plan office, two acoustically effective, fabric-covered room capsules have also been created, to serve as a temporary retreat. This office space concept by CUBIK³ was realised in 2023.

Monaco Yacht Show

On the occasion of this year's Monaco Yacht Show, a trade fair stand was developed which, thanks to its modular design, can be adapted again and again for the coming years - a sustainable concept that meets the demands and corporate philosophy of Oldenburger Moebelwerkstaetten in terms of design and execution quality .
